I've learnt smaller languages before (Icelandic/Faroese, Chinook Jargon) so I know it's possible even with almost no resources and while having no clue what you're doing (these days I have a lot bigger of a clue since I actually know about grammar and stuff), and I'm slooowly making progress, but still it'd just be SO much faster if I could find a cooperative fluent speaker!!
